DR. MAIA s. UY
FVSI, FILVS, FAOC, COVD
Dr. Maia Uy is a Fellow of Vision Science Institute (VSI) where she is currently specializing in Developmental and Behavioral Optometry. Her scope of training includes Vision therapy, Sports Vision and Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation.
Dr. Uy is an Associate Member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development(COVD), Syntonic Optometry(CSO), Clinical Associate Member of same year. Her poster was accepted at The International Congress of Behavioral Optometry (ICBO) last May 2018 in Sydney, Australia. International member of College of Optometric Extension Program Foundation(OEPF) and a Member of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association(NORA) – all based in the United States.
She was a lecturer and a poster presentor at the Asia Optometric Congress in 2016. She was a poster presentor at the 47th Annual COVD Conference in Jacksonville Florida last April 2017.
She also completed the COVD Applied Concepts Course: New Advances in Strabismus and Amblyopia Treatment conducted by Dr. Robert Sanet in Jacksonville, Florida.
She visited Family Vision Care and Vision Therapy Center, California, USA in the same year.
Her abstract was published in the Journal of Optometry & Visual Performance (OVP) which is an international, peer reviewed journal dedicated to the advancement of the role of optometry in enhancing and rehabilitating visual performance based in the United States.
She is currently the President of the IPAO Bohol Chapter and currently a Board of Trustee member of IPAO National.
