Dr. Maia S. Uy is a multi-awarded optometrist specializing in Behavioral & Developmental Optometry and Pediatric Optometry. She is a:

- Fellow of the IPAO Low Vision Society (FILVS)
- Fellow of the Asia Optometric Congress (FAOC)
- OEP Certified Behavioral Neuro Optometrist, Specialized in Sports Vision (OEP-CSV)
In 2025, Dr. Uy was honored with the Outstanding Professional of the Year Award in Optometry by the Professional Regulation Commission—the highest national recognition given to Filipino professionals. In 2024, she also received the Distinction Award in Private/Specialized Practice in Optometry from the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations (PFPA).
